Captain's log; Stardate December 4, 2008

Well the end of another busy day today. My best friend's boyfriend is in the hospital having a minor surgery, well to me no surgery is minor, but he is doing well. I spent most of the morning ministering to her and assuring her that it would be alright. I really felt peaceful inside about the whole thing. Tomorrow they must finish the procedure and I'm sure he will come out alright. He's allowed to eat which is good because he hadn't eaten anything for about three days. I thought... hmmm I don't know about 24 hours with no food, let alone 3 days? So, when I was done with that, I realized today was my cooking blog day and I had nothing prepared to post.....


I scrambled through the early afternoon to come up with some new stuff. Posted 4 new desserts for a virtual party I'm throwing. Just sorry I can't have the real one at my house but it is just not very safe here and besides, money is very tight. But, since it's the holidays I'm still in the dessert phase and I thought why not just share with my online friends what I was going to bring to my party? They can do the same. I hope I get some takers. I find it hard sometimes to blog and post when I don't always get a response. I wonder how long it takes others to get active readers. Oftentimes, I beat myself up because I don't have an exciting life and I don't know anyone who would want to read my daily logs, but oh well...maybe they're more for me. You just never know though, perhaps it will keep someone company.

Tomorrow, I have to handle phone support all day for a client whose out of his office, hubby has to run an errand for me that I can't do and I have deadlines due tomorrow as well. Trying to pay on our rent on Saturday and we have to file our fictious name license tomorrow. Our P.O. Box renewal is also due. Oh boy, I wonder will it get better and I get a break? But, won't complain because we're being provided for. The Lord is gracious and good to us.

Well...laughter I find is a big key for staying sane. I love to laugh and I try to find something funny everyday just to feel better. I know without laughter I'd probably go off the deep end! So... I'm going to go now and record Star Trek: Enterprise, cook dinner, sweet potato fries and meet with my husband at 7 for a family meeting! My schedule is never ending!!! :D
